These squares happen to be one of my favourite Christmas treats. Although these squares are excellent any time of year, I limit my self to only having them at Christmas time.
I never realized how much they were enjoyed until my daughter specifically asked for them this year. I have not made these squares for a couple of years as I thought I was the only one who liked them.
This recipe only has 5 ingredients and is very easy to make. All you need is Vanilla Wafer Crumbs (I use Graham Wafer Crumbs), Brown Sugar, Butter, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, and Pecans.
This is the crumb base with the Toffee poured on top and has been baked for 10 minutes.
The addition of semi-sweet chocolate chips.
Now for the pecans. You can use walnuts if you prefer.
The finished product!
The recipe for Chocolate Toffee Crunchies can be found here.
I hope you like them as much as I do.
